Emily Irene VanCamp has been an Canadian actor for a long time. The actress is famous for her roles in the film industry and on television. There is a huge fanbase on American as well as Canadian TV. Emily was first interested in acting when she saw her sister Katie working on a film. As Emily discovered her passion of acting, she enrolled in acting classes and attended auditions. After a few successful commercials she was quickly booked in the Canadian kids' horror TV show Are You scared to be in the Dark? In one scene, she appeared without speaking even a single word. In the WB television show Glory Days, she received her first major break when she was just 15 years old. The show ended up being cancelled after nine episodes Emily's performance attracted the attention of Dawson's Creek writer Greg Berlanti who decided to cast her in his television show Everwood. Emily, who is also a photographer and ballerina was praised by Teen magazine as one the best actresses younger than 20. The Maxim's Hot 100 for 2014 listed her as #51.
